From the past few days, my PC just displays blank screen whenever I turn it on. Does anyone know what could be the cause of this and how to fix this issue?

If your PC turns on but shows no display, here are common causes and quick fixes:

  1. Loose or unplugged monitor cable — Check and reconnect HDMI, DisplayPort, or VGA cables.
  2. Monitor issue — Test your monitor with another device or try a different monitor.
  3. Incorrect input source — Make sure your monitor is set to the right input (HDMI1, DP, etc.).
  4. Graphics card problems — Reseat the GPU, ensure it’s powered properly, or try onboard graphics if available.
  5. RAM issues — Reseat RAM sticks or try booting with one stick at a time.
  6. Power supply problems — Ensure PSU cables are connected firmly to motherboard and GPU.
  7. BIOS or motherboard failure — Reset BIOS by clearing CMOS or check motherboard LEDs/beeps for errors.

In case the monitor doesn’t detect any display, check all the cables and the monitor are properly attached to the PC. Check that the monitor is plugged in and has power and try connecting it to different parts or ports. You should reinstall the RAM and graphics card because they might be causing the problem with your display. If you reset the CMOS battery, it may solve any errors in the BIOS. When the problem cannot be solved and it still occurs, it could be a problem with the motherboard, the CPU or the power supply hardware. Trying all the components one by one can find the defective part.
