How do I delete a YouTube channel on my phone?

I made a mistake and made a YouTube channel to showcase my dog's unique talent. But... How can I delete this channel by using my phone?

While some sources indicate you might need to use a desktop browser for the full deletion process, you can initiate the YouTube channel deletion on your phone.

Here's how:

1. Open the YouTube app and tap your profile picture (usually top right).
2. Go to "Google Account" or "Manage your Google Account".
3. Navigate to the "Data & privacy" tab.
4. Scroll down to "Download or delete your data" and tap on "Delete a Google service".
5. You may need to verify your identity (password, fingerprint, etc.).
6. Next to "YouTube," tap the trash can icon.
7. Select "I want to permanently delete my content".
8. Check the boxes to confirm you understand what will be deleted.
9. Tap "Delete my content," and you might be asked to enter your email address to confirm.

Keep in mind that deleting your channel is a permanent action and will remove all your videos, comments, messages, playlists, and history. It can take some time for the deletion to be completed.

To delete a YouTube channel from your phone, access the app, touch the picture of your profile, and press Manage your Google Account. Find the Data & privacy option followed by Delete a Google service. In YouTube, find and tap the trash icon, then pick I want to delete my content permanently. Go over the confirmation checkboxes, type in your password if you’re asked, and tap the option to delete your content. It will get rid of all your YouTube data, but your Google Account will not be affected.
