How to fix Trello desktop Google passkey not displayed?

I'm using the Trello desktop app and trying to log in with my Google account, but the passkey prompt isn't showing up. Has anyone else encountered this issue and can help me?

Try this:
  1. Open Trello in your browser and sign in with Google there — it usually works better.
  2. On the desktop app, make sure it’s updated to the latest version.
  3. If the Google login or passkey isn’t showing, try clearing the app’s cache or reinstalling it.
  4. Worst case, just use the browser version — it’s basically the same.
Trello’s desktop app can be buggy with logins sometimes.

To fix Trello’s missing Google passkey on desktop:
  1. Enable cookies/pop-ups in your browser.
  2. Update browser or switch to Chrome.
  3. Check Google Account > Security > Passkeys.
  4. Try mobile auth as a backup.

To fix the issue where the Google passkey is not displayed on Trello's desktop version, try the following steps:
  1. Clear Cache and Cookies: In your browser settings, clear cache and cookies for Trello.
  2. Update Your Browser: Ensure your browser is up-to-date to support the latest web features.
  3. Disable Browser Extensions: Turn off any browser extensions that could interfere with the login page.
  4. Check Google Account Settings: Ensure your Google account has the necessary permissions and is properly linked.
  5. Try a Different Browser: Test Trello in another browser to see if the issue persists.

If none of these work, you may want to contact Trello support or check their help page for updates on this issue.

  • Open the Trello software again.
  • Sign out and log in.
  • Ensure you do have an updated browser or operating system you have used-- passkey stuff can break on old systems.
  • When nothing appears, log in using a browser first, and turn on the passkey.
  • Still stuck? It could be a bug - Trello support or doing it on another device.
